Steri Castle

Located in Palermo's Kalsa district, this splendid structure, open to the public every day except Monday, was the official residence of Sicily's kings and viceroys for two centuries. Read about it in a new article.

Of special interest are the Great Hall, with its 14th-century ceiling paintings, and the jail, which has graffiti written by prisoners.
